The drugmaker's oral drug, called AMG-786, is the second weight loss pill to be discontinued over the last year. Investors are laser-focused on Amgen's pipeline of experimental weight loss treatments. The Justice Department plans to forward a recommendation for easing restrictions on marijuana to the White House in what could amount to a major change in federal policy, according to three people familiar with the matter.
